When the opportunity came up to make a beer with one of our favourite Alberta breweries Blindman Brewing, the only thing that came to mind was to say, absolutely!
Before we go any further though, we suggest you watch the short ad we created for it:
The idea behind this collab was to highlight the quality ingredients produced in both of our backyards. This old school IPA is made solely with Rocky Mountain (Vienna style) Malt from Red Shed Malting, located roughly 35 mins from Blindman Brewing along with Centennial hops from Maple bay Hop farm, about an hour from our brewery. This beer presents floral on the nose giving way to lemmon, fresh cut grass and slightly herbal notes on the palate. We're loving it.
A few beer stats:
Style: SMASH (single malt and single hop) IPA
Kettle Hops: Centennial
Dry Hops: Centennial
The beer is available on draught in the taproom and in 473 mL cans, which can purchased here for local pick-up, delivery, and now for provincial beer mail. We hope you give it a try!
