Job Posting - Packaging and Delivery Driver

Whistle Buoy Brewing has recently increased our wholesale program, expanding to be available to our community in local craft beer focused stores, bars, and restaurants.

We are looking for an organized and personable individual to run our packaging program, deliver to wholesale accounts as well as carry out responsibilities in the brewery. 

The packaging and delivery position plays a crucial role in our operation. Independently running the packaging process, overseeing the machinery, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently (with the support of the brewery team). As well as monitoring the quality of the filled cans, checking for proper fill levels, seaming, and labeling. Then taking that perfectly packaged fresh beer and ensuring safe and timely delivery to our valued wholesale customers. 

Responsibilities:

• Running the canning line with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Hand filling bottles.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles with kegs and cases of beer, ensuring products are handled safely and with care.
• Plan delivery routes efficiently to maximize productivity and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries, representing the brewery positively.
• Filling and cleaning kegs.
• Cleaning tap lines.
• Receiving of merch inventory, stocking beer shop and taproom fridge. 
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.

Availability:

• 24-32 hours a week. 
• Wednesday to Saturday. 
• Possibility that this role turns into 40 hours/week depending on what the high season brings.
• This is a seasonal position with the possibility of extension moving into the fall for the right candidate. 

Compensation:

• This role pays $22 an hour.

You must have a valid and in good standing BC drivers license. Experience in a brewery production environment is preferred. Mechanical inclination is required.
