The evening will also feature a recycled buoy art installation from artist and marine ecosystem advocate Tiare Boyes.
Tiare Boyes is an artist from Vancouver Island who recycles beach trash into works of art. Each piece comes with a story of where it came from, what it was once used for, where it was found and who found it. By creating art from plastic marine debris, Tiare hopes to divert a little waste from our ocean/garbage dumps, to inspire people to think about where their own plastic waste ends up and how we can be better neighbours to the marine life in our backyard.
